PHOTOBOOK – Creation of a playful and fun book of a series of my analog photograhs I shot during my stay in South Africa and Lesotho. The book cover is made out of african fabric. The book shows black and white as well as coloured photographies. The black and white photographies are printed on thinner see-through paper. The combination of a see through black and white picture with a colored picture underneath creates a third picture.
WEIRD NEWS – is a newspaper about a collection of african news about witchcraft and Juju. For each story I created an illustration which was printed with linoleum print. The headlines are as well printed with the same technique to make it look unique and handmade.
PHOTOBOOK – Experimental analog photography using double exposure and african pattern to create a fusion of the shown person and their origin. The final photographies have been collected in a book using different african fabrics as covermaterials.
FOODBOOK – Combining the two things I love design and food - in a experimental and illustrative way. The typography interacts according to shapes and colours presented.
COOKBOOK – I designed a Greek cookbook for children. The unique factor about this book is it´s playful system, that navigates the reader through the recipes. The system is working with colour and shapes.
TYPEFACE – I created a typeface called the Capetownean. The font is inspired by handpainted barber signs in Cape Town. The typeface has 3 font styles, named – shadow, regular and outline. Subsequently created a typeface poster series. Creating the poster series was a experimental process combining analog and digital and working woth african pattern.
BROCHURE – about quilt codes. Quilt codes have been used by African American slaves as a secret way to communicate about how to escape to freedom via the Underground Railroad.
THE HISTORY OF TYPOGRAPHY – information about the history of typography. The book has many info graphics.
